Sandy Neck Beach
Sandy Neck Beach is a six mile barrier beach with 4,700 Acres of dunes, maritime forests and marshes. There are nine miles of sand trails through dunes and beach between Cape Cod Bay and the great Marsh. The dunes support a variety of vegetation including numerous wildflowers, cranberries and an Area of Critical Environmental Concern.
There are few waves and the view is gorgeous. Lots of people go to Sandy Neck but with a short walk in either direction, you'll be on your own. Sandy Neck is a great place to spend the day swimming, beachcombing, surf fishing, or hiking. In season, there are lifeguards, restrooms, outdoor showers and a snack bar. There is handicap access via ramp and a beach wheelchair is available. Sandy Neck offers a front beach driving corridor which is available for permitted vehicles (and very popular). It's a popular spot for beach camping and bonfires.
